flavored half baked coated chicken
breast’…. Mhhhh Absolutely Amazing!.... Seriously, ya’ all will thank me… at
least for not spending 2 hours watching “Aso Rock Down”
The Buttered chicken dish is absolutely superb! I
actually thought it was my sister’s recipe which she deceptively told me it was. She is just a liar! Imagine, I had started imagining how much money the two of
us would make from this recipe only to find how the recipe was first created by an
Italian Chef, which he called Chicken Kiev.
Anyway, it is absolutely amazing
but one has to get the flavors and salt on point if not it wouldn’t taste as
delicious as getting the right taste.
So enjoy cooking it…..And when you finish you can
now sit down and watch that African Magic Movie. Trust me this chicken
would make the movie so dammmn interesting!
INGREDIENTS
-
2 small
clove of garlic or 1 large clove of Garlic.
-
A big
pinch of Salt and Paprika
-
¼ cup of chopped Parsley
-
¼ cup of
your favorite butter
-
1 chicken
breast
-
Egg
-
Black
pepper
-
Milk
-
Seasoned
Flour (that’s just flour and salt mixed together)
-
Panko
Bread Crumbs (You can use crushed Potato chips)
-
Oil
- Little
bit of Lemon zest (Optional)
LET'S BEGIN: THE SAUCE…

Place
garlic into mortar and pound well well.

Then add
a big pinch of salt.
·
Then add the chopped parsley and the lemon zest. Pound well o. No lump of the garlic should remain but maybe small sha.
·
Then add
your butter. Mash everything together and place in a plastic wrap as you see
for the picture below. Put this mixture into the fridge to firm up.

GET YOUR CHICKEN BREAST...

- Get your chicken breast as seen above. Then place the chicken on a plastic wrap and cover the chicken with the wrap. Get a pestle or a fry pan to pound the chicken. Make it about a quarter inch or thinner. It would be better if thin but not too thin.

- Remove the plastic wrap and season with salt and black pepper. Not too much ooooo. If salt plenty for there…. No say na Orisirisi finger foods o. Just sprinkle on top of it pere!
- Remove your butter mixture from the fridge and place the butter in the middle of the chicken breast. Then envelope the butter so that the chicken can trap the butter in. (See pictures below)

· Gather
the Plastic wrap and wrap the whole chicken. Then put in the freezer for 30
mins before breading.

BREADING
- After freezing for 30mins, get your flour, egg wash (beat egg and milk together to get the egg wash mixture), and Panko Bread or Potato chips. If you are using potato chips, crush it into crumbs.
- Place the chicken into the seasoned flour and coat.

- When it’s thoroughly coated. Place it into egg mixture. Then lastly, coat in bread crumbs as seen in the pictures below.
- Place the chicken back into the freezer for 15 mins.
- While in the freezer, heat up the oil and remove the Chicken to fry until golden brown.
- IMPORTANT STAGE: As you don fry am…. NO EAT AM O!... Na raw chicken you dey eat be dat one. This last stage is important.
- Heat up your oven to about 400F. Then pop the golden brown chicken into the oven. But before you do, sprinkle with seasoned salt and paprika. Then, place in the oven for 10-15 mins to totally cook.
- Due to different ovens, please check after 10mins to make sure the butter is not leaking out. If it leaks, it gives the garlic a very pungent taste and that’s not too good if you don’t like garlic. Let try to make the butter trapped from the onset.
So thats it…………. ORISIRISI’S BUTTERED CHICKEN!
It can be eaten alone or with Roasted Potatoes, Shrimp Rice or you could just take your favorite wine. When you make yours, feel free to to give your feedback.
